Tree Inventories

Why do you need a Tree Inventory?

Tree Inventories provides locations of trees that require pruning or removal to reduce risk, the number of trees located within a public areas, the value of the trees’ ecosystem services and the number of available planting sites.

A tree inventory also describes baseline conditions for any project. Documenting trees’ locations, size and attributes allows projects to design their work around trees or understand how the project may impact them.

Role of Consulting Arborist

The consulting arborist identifies tree locations and collects valuable information for each tree. Data typically collected for an inventory include tree species, size (crown and diameter), and condition. Some municipalities or jurisdictions may require additional information including whether trees require pruning or the level of construction impacts. We may also install tags on each inventoried tree so they can be revisited later.
