Tree Risk Assessments

Why do you need a Tree Risk Assessment?

Tree risk assessments can be useful to private property owners concerned with a specific tree or a stand of trees, developers working to identify which trees to prioritize for preservation, or retroactively assessing a tree’s risk following excessive construction impacts.

Some municipalities also require risk assessments be submitted with resident’s tree removal applications.

Role of Consulting Arborist

The consulting arborist identifies a tree’s likelihood of failure, likelihood of impacting a target, and the consequences of that failure to take a snapshot of its risk. We take into account the tree’s health and structural stability, local environmental factors, and targets that may be impacted from the failure of any part of the tree to describe the tree’s overall risk. The consulting arborist will also make recommendations to reduce the tree’s overall risk in our assessment reports.
